These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Community Connect application, service, and associated Discord bot (collectively, the "Service"), provided by the Community Connect team ("we", "us", "our"). By installing the Service on a Shopify store, adding the Community Connect bot to a Discord server, or linking a Discord account through the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Community Connect gates a merchant's private community (such as a Discord server) by customer lifetime net spend. It resolves each customer to a membership tier, places them in the corresponding community role, keeps that role accurate as spend changes, and lets merchants invite past customers by email. The Service is provided to two kinds of users: merchants who install the app on a Shopify store, and community members (the merchant's customers) who link a Discord account to receive a role.
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (and at least 13, or the minimum age required by Discord and Shopify) to use the Service. Merchants must have a valid Shopify account and the authority to bind their business to these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your accounts and for all activity that occurs under them.
Linking your Discord account is voluntary. When you link, you authorize us via Discord OAuth to place you in the merchant's community and assign a role that reflects your membership tier. You may unlink or leave the community at any time. Your membership and role are determined by the merchant's configuration, not by us.

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Shopify and Discord. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, changes, or actions of those platforms, and their outages may affect the Service.
Where the Service (or a plan tier of it) is offered for a fee, billing is handled through Shopify's billing system and is subject to the pricing shown at the time of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing prospectively with notice.
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app or removing the bot from your Discord server. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the platforms we integrate with. On termination, we cease processing and handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ROLE ASSIGNMENTS WILL ALWAYS BE ACCURATE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMMUNITY CONNECT TEAM WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD 100.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Community Connect team from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content or configuration, or your violation of these Terms or of any third party's rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in Singapore will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.
